Delhi to Agra
We woke up at 5:40am and took a taxi to the train station. He initially took us to the wrong station, implying that we hadn't pronounced the name properly but we knew that he just hadn't listened to us! (good thing we got up early!) We travelled 3rd class on the train to Agra...no air conditioning on bench seats with the locals. I wasn't feeling well, so a Gravol made the 2 3/4 hour trip go much faster! In Agra we caught a pre-paid taxi to our hotel (Ashok Hotel). We got the same taxi driver to take us to the Agra Fort (where we spent an hour touring around), and back to the hotel for a swim. We then took the taxi to the Taj Mahal. We had a long walk from where we were dropped off to the Taj, and there were MANY locals trying to sell us everything under the sun. The ticket was very expensive, and the security check was quite extensive (I got felt up!), but it was worth it as the Taj was incredible! We stayed until the sun started to set and then went back to the hotel to change for our dinner at 'Zorba the Budda'.
