Rohet
Enjoying the smaller town of Jodpur, we sought an even smaller town. So Ian organized a taxi to the very, very small town of Rohet. There we stayed at the only hotel in the town, Rohet Garh (which was actually quite nice, with gardens full of birds and a swimming pool). One of the hotel staff (Sesaram) introduced us to the hotel owners horses, and took us for a tour of the town and the local trades people. We had lunch in the gardens (beans on toast, and tomato soup), and then off for a jeep safari. On the safari we saw Black Faced Buck, and Blue Bull. We also visited a local village and observed an Opium ceremony. We then cooled off in the pool and then enjoyed the buffet (with local musicians).
